Endometrial Ablation
Endometrial Ablation is a procedure which destroys a thin layer of the lining of the uterus resulting in a significant reduction of menstrual flow or puts an end to menstrual flow altogether. This procedure can be beneficial to women with heavy menstrual cycles who have not found success with medication. In some cases, endometrial ablation may stop menstrual flow altogether.
Women who would still like to become pregnant, have gone through menopause, have a current or recent uterine infection or uterine cancer, or have endometrial hyperplasia should not have this procedure.
If you are considering this operation, please talk to your provider at Moscow-Pullman OB/GYN about your options.
